H4C screens the People’s Emergency Briefing
On 21st April 2026, Hope4Creation hosted a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing in the Old Library of the University Church, Oxford.
The People’s Emergency Briefing was commissioned to present the latest scientific evidence and build an irresistible call for the government to stage a televised emergency briefing, the essential first step towards the WW2-scale response now required.
The film is based on a live briefing from leading experts that took place in November 2025. It delivers frank facts about the threats, but also discusses the enormous benefits to society if the government leads on genuine emergency action. The film is hosted by Chris Packham CBE, who watches the briefing with a mix of celebrities and householders who give their reflections on what they learn from the experts.
We see a powerful endorsement from Chris Packham, who reminds us, “That's our home, it's the only one we've got. It’s where all of our species has lived and died, everyone, every single human. It's where we breathe, it's where we eat, we laugh, we cry, we love, we hate, and as far as we know, together with all the other wonderful life on Earth, we are the only known life forms in the universe, and we've got nowhere else to go.”
Around 40 people gathered to watch the film in the Old Library, followed by group reflections and discussion. There were many people representing local community groups across Oxfordshire, including those considering hosting their own screenings.
H4C is encouraging everyone to attend a screening if they can, or even host one in their local community. It is life-changing. More information on how you can support this campaign, including attending or hosting a local screening, is available at nebriefing.org.
